When Simply Energy transitioned to ENGIE—a global leader in sustainable energy—we were tasked with uniting two distinct digital brands into one seamless Australian experience. As Design Lead, I oversaw a team of 17 designers across three time zones to redesign and rebuild every digital touchpoint. Our challenge was to merge ENGIE’s global sustainability mission with Simply Energy’s reputation for value, all without disrupting service for 400,000+ customers. We developed a robust, scalable design system grounded in accessibility, re-skinned hundreds of interfaces using a smart component-based strategy in Figma, and introduced a custom illustration library that gave global guidelines a local Australian twist.
